One of the Planning Commissions function is to safeguard the life, health, and property of Rogers County residents through the application of uniform building standards. These standards involve design, materials, construction, use, occupancy, and location of all buildings and structures within the jurisdiction of the Planning Commission in the unincorporated area of the County. The Planning Commission strives to implement these standards in a fair and consistent fashion while maintaining an open dialogue with the various building trades. Plan reviews, permits, and inspections for structural, electrical, plumbing and mechanical as well as miscellaneous items are provided through the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission additionally provides code enforcement by providing follow-up on complaints of zoning and building code violations registered with in the Planning Commission.
Registration is required for Plumbing, Electrical & Mechanical trades. The Planning Commission - Rogers County operates out of the 2009 International Code Council, Oklahoma State Uniform Building Code Commission, & Local Amendments.
