Functions of the County Clerk

Peggy Armstrong has 32 years of professional experience in Rogers County Government. In June of 1976, Peggy began her career in the Rogers County Clerk's Office working for Mr. Charles Allton. She has also worked for Mrs. Wanda Jones and Mrs. Andrea Willis.  When Andrea Willis retired on March 31, 2003, she recommended that Peggy be appointed County Clerk. The Board of County Commissioners accepted the recommendation and appointed Peggy to complete the vacated term of her predecessor. Peggy was elected to the position of Rogers County Clerk in November 2004 for a four year term beginning January 1, 2005.

Peggy has completed the Basic Certification Training and Advanced Certification Training through the OSU Center for Local Government Technology. She is currently working on the required courses for the Advanced II Certification.  Mrs. Armstrong is an active member of the Democratic Party.  She is also an active member of the County Clerk's Association of Oklahoma and the County Officers and Deputies Association of Oklahoma.  Peggy and her staff are active members in the local community. They continually support and participate in Relay for Life, United Way, Blue Grass Chili Cook-off, Big Brothers and Sisters, and many other charitable organizations. Peggy currently serves on the Claremore Convention and Visitors Bureau Board and the Rogers County Youth Services Board.

Peggy has been married to Lynn Armstrong for 27 years. They have two children, Jami Anderson and husband Todd, and Erik Armstrong and wife Michelle. They also have four grandchildren; Chase, Lauryn ,Lyndsey, and Ryan.
